Job Description

  • Research, analyze, and interpret regulatory requirements related to the chemical industry, with a strong focus on REACH regulations.
  • Develop and maintain regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory documents, including dossiers, notifications, and registrations, as required by regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor and track changes in relevant regulations, guidelines, and industry practices to ensure ongoing compliance and anticipate future regulatory developments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide regulatory guidance and support for product development, manufacturing, labeling, and marketing activities.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections to assess compliance with regulatory requirements and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  • Represent the company in regulatory affairs matters, including interactions with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to regulatory compliance activities.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in regulatory affairs and proactively share knowledge with the team.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of REACH regulations and other relevant chemical legislation.
  • Previous experience in a regulatory affairs role within the chemical industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in interpreting and applying regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory software and systems is an advantage.
