As a Data Engineer you'll be working in our Product Team and have responsibilities over the following topics:
Ensure a smooth integration of data into the products.

Collaborate closely with content experts to code and parametrise climate measures for the Cities app.- Collaborate closely with the product team (UX designer and developers) to create visually appealing and informative dashboards.
Design and develop data pipelines
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand data needs.
- Design and implement scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and importing
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout the pipeline.
Data modeling and database design:
- Design and implement data models that support efficient storage and retrieval of structured and unstructured data.
- Optimize database performance and ensure scalability.
Data exploration and analysis:
- Perform exploratory data analysis to gain insights and identify patterns.
- Validate and evaluate model performance using appropriate evaluation metrics.
Data governance and security:
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulations.
- Implement security measures to protect data confidentiality and integrity.
- Identify and address data privacy concerns.
Collaboration and teamwork:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering and data science.
Wie zoeken we
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering/science field
- Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, including data integration, ETL processes, and database design.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis packages (e.g., R, Python libraries).
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Affinity with sustainability and climate action topics.
- Domain knowledge of energy and climate change mitigation and adaptation is a big plus.
