As operational manager, you are the manager of the largest department of the site and you are the right hand of the Plant Director.
The goal of the job is to manage the operations of the production for both, PACK and MAKE, in order to ensure the safety for all employees and manage and improve production to deliver according to the plan (quantity, quality, cost and schedule).

SAFETY: Ensure everyday safety for all employees by coaching, problem solving, investing the right means, … Be an expert of “the 12 basics”. O harm is the most important KPI.
QUALITY: Ensure and follow-up of the quality of the products in collaboration with the Food Quality & Safety by implementing the right preventive actions (e.g., work instructions) and leading the corrective actions when needed (e.g., root cause analyses) to put the consumer first.
DELIVERY: Roll out, implement and follow-up of the current Danone Management system in order to ensure the production plan and improve the efficiency of the production process. Simplify, prioritize, and problem solving are the most important principles. Follow-up of trends in the food and packaging industry.
MOTIVATION: Coach and develop your direct reports (Zone Managers) as manager, leader, and people manager. Empower people by caring and demanding. Build strong collaboration with other departments. Maintain the relations with the unions by both formal and informal contacts.
About youEngineering qualifications, experience of at least 10 years in an operational and international environment with proven experience in Lean/TPM/IWS.
