Director of Partnerships & Development | Exciting Opportunity to Drive Fundraising and Business Development in Sustainable Healthcare
Location: Brussels or within a train journey of there.
Salary: £85-90,000 (if UK Based) - dependent on experience
Working Pattern: Full-time position (38 hours per week across a 9-day fortnight, currently trialling 4 day week)

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HCWH Europe's fundraising strategy to secure significant, multi-year revenue streams aligned with our mission and goals.
- Create a strategic roadmap for partnerships development, with a special focus on health philanthropy, to establish new, long-term partnerships.
- Build a partnership and major donor cultivation process, including internal pitch teams, ensuring clear responsibility and accountability for new opportunities.
- Collaborate as a part of the Executive Leadership Team to explore new income streams, such as event fees, membership fees, and chargeable services.
- Track new business pipeline progress against goals and provide regular update reports to the Board of Directors.
- Lead and manage the Development Team, supporting them in identifying funding needs, prospecting, securing funding, and diversifying our revenue base.
- Collaborate with the Director of Communications & Marketing to develop effective outreach and engagement tactics for key audiences.
- Ensure fundraising activities align with organisational needs and support long-term financial sustainability.
- Work closely with the Director of Programmes to inform programmatic developments and develop corresponding fundraising and development plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in fundraising and business development, with a focus on health philanthropy being advantageous.
- Record of winning partnerships of €1M and over.
- Client-facing experience and strong project management skills.
- Experience in managing small interdisciplinary teams.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with expertise in grant writing and pitching.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship development skills.
- Ability to remain strategic and composed under pressure, demonstrating nimble thinking and problem-solving.
- Curiosity and a commitment to learning and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence in managing senior-level contacts across major donors and companies.
- Eligibility to work in the location in which they are based.
- Proficient in English, with a working knowledge of another European language being advantageous.
