Job Description

MISSION
The National Sales Manager is in charge of the creation, coordination and realization of the commercial and operational sales policy as well as the sales strategy, as part of the business plan on short, medium and long term. The National Sales Manager does this in collaboration with the BU Head and the Head Commercial Excellence.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure the identification and execution of new business opportunities while making strategic choices within the product portfolio
  • The strategic positioning in the medium and long term & the independent development and realization of business goals and their strategies by:
o Driving performance and results within the Sales Department on both established portfolio and new launches
o Presenting industry-relevant information and trends within different internal/external groups. Transfer of knowledge, planning and insights, as well as motivating various (policy-) views and decisions
o Maintaining and developing customer relations and contacts with associations
  • Managing people in accordance with the defined standards and values of Sandoz:
o Executing the Sandoz personnel policy and using the HR tools
o Ensuring each associate has a development plan with the objective of developing knowledge, skills, competences, desired behaviors and values and securing internal talent pipeline;
o Defining the objectives for the sales department in close collaboration with the Commercial Excellence department and the BU head;
o Recruiting the right candidates whenever needed
  • Working closely with other departments: mainly operations, marketing & pharmacy sales

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master degree in Economics or equivalent
  • Minimum 6-10 years sales experience in pharmacy industry
  • Good understanding of Gx market & - dynamics
  • Pharmacy environment knowledge
  • Excellent coaching skills and proven track record of organizational development
  • Used to interact with commercial excellence, marketing, market access, finance, supply chain and HR

  • Fluent in Dutch, French & English
  • Sales and KAM skills, KPI management & follow-up
  • Financials, knowledge of company financial reporting and interpretation of data, P&L management
